Rhapsody in Volts is a collection of pieces that fall under the genre category of “contemporary classical electronic music.” This is not to be confused with electronic dance music (EDM) and it is not like Switched-On Bach.

The pieces represent a number of sub-categories.
Some are analog, some are digital. Some are computer developed and some employ techniques associated with Musique concrète.
